NEHAD MARDOMI

(People Helping People)

A Community Movement Supporting Afghan Girls’ Right to Education

In the darkness that has overshadowed Afghanistan for years, a light of hope is shining.

Nehad Mardomi where people help people is grassroots, non-political, and non-profit movement founded by committed individuals inside and outside Afghanistan. Its goal is simple yet vital: to restore the fundamental right to education for Afghan girls and women. Today, this initiative has grown into a vast global network with members from countries and continents including Australia, Germany, the United States, Iran, Turkey, Canada, the Netherlands, the UAE, and many more — all united in support of girls’ education in Afghanistan.

Our Commitment: Education for All, even in the Hardest Conditions

Nehad Mardomi works with the firm belief that education is a natural, undeniable right for every human being — especially for girls who have long been deprived of it due to cultural, political, and security reasons. In a time when many formal schools have closed their doors to girls, we have taken alternative and creative paths:

  • Offering online courses for teenage and young girls, with the help of Afghan and international teachers.

  • Establishing and supporting underground schools in various parts of Afghanistan that operate discreetly and safely to ensure girls continue to learn.

  • Distributing educational materials such as books, notebooks, pens, and other school supplies to students in need.

  • Launching informal home-based programs in the form of small family or group classes.

  • Providing psychological and motivational support to girls who face hopelessness, fear, or family pressure.

Global Presence, Local Action

One of the most remarkable features of Nehad Mardomi is its geographic reach and deep human solidarity. Hundreds of members across the world, driven by compassion, volunteer their time to raise awareness, gather resources, create educational content, and run campaigns. This global support gives strength and sustainability to on-the-ground efforts inside Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, inside the country, dedicated teachers, concerned mothers, and aware youth have formed a discreet but organized network. They run underground schools and distribute learning resources. This unique coordination between inside and outside Afghanistan is the beating heart of Nehad Mardomi.

Beyond Education: Building the Future

At Nehad Mardomi, we believe that supporting girls' education is not just about teaching reading and writing — it is an investment in a future of peace, progress, and human dignity for Afghanistan. An educated girl can become a mother, teacher, writer, doctor, judge, or leader of tomorrow. We are striving to turn the dream of education for every Afghan girl — regardless of location, ethnicity, religion, or economic status — into an achievable reality.

Our Voice Is the Voice of the Silenced Girls

Alongside educational programs, Nehad Mardomi is committed to being the voice of girls deprived of schooling. Through reports, documentaries, and personal stories, we seek to raise awareness among global institutions, the media, and the world’s collective conscience about the harsh reality Afghan girls face.

An Invitation to Join

We invite you — whether Afghan or non-Afghan, woman or man, student, teacher, migrant, artist, or activist — to join this humanitarian movement. You can:
